Join us in this exclusive interview with Sravani Yadav. Laysalaysa.com interviewed this Bachelor of Technology degree holder who took up modelling to escape from routine office work. Let’s explore her entry into modelling scene.
Tell us about yourself.
I am Sravani Yadav from Vijayawada, aged 24 years old. I hold Bachelor of Technology degree. I am a model and I have ventured into acting too.
How did you enter modelling?
After completing my studies, I am not interested in routine office job but I had no other choice. My friends used to suggest me to try modelling since I had the height and looks. I had no idea of modelling but I wanted to escape from what I was doing at that moment. I saw a Facebook post about a beauty pageant and took the opportunity to participate in it. I managed to enter finals and from that day, I was transformed into a model.
Why would you think you’re fit to be a model?
I think I have the height – 5.9 feet. I believe I am photogenic and I put in all the efforts to shine as a model.
Does it cost a lot of money to be a model?
I didn’t invest anything to be a model. My journey taught me everything. I learn from experiences, my first pageant was a learning journey. It’s all your passion, it’s not about how much you invest on yourself.
Tell me about a project or accomplishment that you consider to be the most significant in your modelling career.
I have worked for Page 3 Modelling Agency in Pune and that was my first experience in modelling. It was a significant moment in my modelling career.
Who is your role model, and why?
I never thought to become a model so I didn’t take anyone as a role model.
Do you eat nutritiously?
Earlier, I was not eating nutritiously. Now I am taking care of my diet and I am eating nutritiously.
What qualities do you think are necessary to be a leader?
In my point of view, a leader should be honest and confident. The leader should also be positive minded.
If you could change three things about yourself, what would they be?
Firstly, I would not have done my Bachelor of Technology degree and secondly I would have been an air hostess. Finally, I broke off with my close buddy after a fight. I shouldn’t’ have met the person at all, the experience was the worst I have faced.
How do you define success?
Be honest at your work and if you do anything with full dedication, it is success.
